Hey, my name is Hank Hayes. I’m a personal stylist living and working in Dallas, Texas. I got an undergraduate business degree at The University of Texas at Austin [🤘🏼] and am working as a software engineer now.
I didn’t go to school for fashion and don’t have any formal styling background. I don’t think that’s what makes a good stylist. Of course there are still some styling fundamentals that I research and respect in order to get my clients looking great, but no rule is hard and fast.
Most of my clothing is a mix of thrift finds, secondhand designer, and brand new buys. Some of my favorite designers are Ralph Lauren and Kiko Kostadinov. I keep my personal style pretty simple. The way your clothes fit is much more important than throwing brand logos around, so that’s what I focus on myself and with clients.
